We are looking for a Software Engineer to join us in our Jakarta, Indonesia Office.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ship new features and refactors inside our Ruby on Rails monolith: controllers, services, background jobs, APIs.
• Extend or tweak existing React/TypeScript components when a backend change needs a small UI hook—no green‑field FE architecture work.
• Write unit/integration tests for Rails code and add coverage to any FE code you touch.
• Work through the full lifecycle with PMs: scope, build, code‑review, test, release.
• Debug production issues; add instrumentation or alerts in New Relic / Sentry as needed.

About You

• 3‑5 yrs building production apps with a focus on Ruby on Rails (≥ 2 yrs deep Rails exposure).
• Proficient in designing ActiveRecord models, migrations, REST/GraphQL APIs, background jobs, and RSpec tests.
• Comfortable reading and extending React/TypeScript code; no need to architect new FE frameworks.
• Solid grasp of software design principles; pragmatic about tech‑debt vs. velocity.
• Exposure to monitoring stacks (New Relic, Sentry, Grafana, Datadog).
• Happy to work predominantly on‑site in Jakarta.

Tech Stack You’ll Work With

• Backend: Ruby (3.2), Ruby on Rails (7+), Redis, Postgres.
• Architecture: Monolith split into domains; interactor pattern.
• Testing: RSpec, VCR.
• Monitoring: New Relic, Sentry.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Digital Ocean, Docker.
• CI/CD & Dev Workflow: CircleCI, GitHub, trunk‑based development, GitHub Issues.

Job Highlights
