Our Aircon Gas
Top Up Process

Checking the refrigerant level
Our technicians will use a gas gauge to check the level of refrigerant inside before the top up process. This ensures that your unit really does need servicing and will determine how much gas is needed to be filled into the refrigerant tank.
Detect potential leakage
We will detect if there is any leakage where refrigerant may be escaping from the aircon unit. Once leaks are located, repairs are carried out, which may involve component replacement or tightening connections.
Determining the gas type and aircon gas refill amount
Different aircon models use different types of gas, and we will need to determine the type of gas that your model uses. After this, we will give your aircon unit a gas top up so it has the ability to cool your room sufficiently again.
Diagnostics and further safety checks
Our technicians will recheck your gas gauge and air conditioner again to see if it's properly cooling air after the top up. To further ensure your safety, the unit will also be rechecked for other leaks or damages so that nothing is overlooked.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I top up aircon gas?
Typically, it's advisable to schedule aircon gas top up every 1 to 3 years. However, some customers opt for more frequent top ups, i.e. every 6 months, possibly due to small leaks that are inherent in most aircon systems.
When is the best time to top up aircon gas?
If you notice your aircon isn't cooling as effectively as it once did, it could indicate that the gas levels have depleted. The gas is crucial for the cooling process within the system, and when levels are low, the unit's ability to produce cool air diminishes. Thus, scheduling a gas top up can restore the optimal functioning of your aircon, ensuring it operates efficiently and keeps your indoor environment comfortable.
How long does it take to top up aircon gas?
An aircon gas top up typically requires no more than 90 minutes, with the process usually completed within 35-45 minutes on average. This includes thorough checks of the aircon system, as well as the removal and replenishment of refrigerant gas. In many cases, this service can be conveniently performed while you wait.
Can I top up AC gas myself?
Trying to top up aircon gas on your own can pose risks to your health and the environment, making it generally not recommended. Handling refrigerant gases demands specialized expertise and equipment because of their hazardous nature.
How do I know if my AC needs gas refill?
There are several signs suggesting that your aircon may have low gas levels, such as prolonged cooling times, insufficiently cool indoor air, the presence of frost or ice on copper lines, water accumulation around the furnace, audible hissing or bubbling noises, short cycling, and an increase in electric bills.
How long does AC gas last?
The duration for which aircon gas lasts can vary depending on factors such as the type of refrigerant used, the efficiency of the system, the frequency of use, and whether there are any leaks in the system. In general, aircon systems with proper maintenance can retain their refrigerant for 8-10 years without needing a refill. However, gradual leakage may occur over time, leading to a decline in refrigerant levels and the need for a top up.
Why is my AC not cooling after gas refill?
There could be a number of reasons why your aircon isn't cooling after gas refill. These include an incorrect refrigerant charge, undetected leaks in the system, other mechanical issues like a malfunctioning compressor, restricted airflow due to dirty filters or blocked vents, or incorrect system settings. To address this, it's essential to consult a qualified HVAC technician who can diagnose the specific problem and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to restore proper cooling performance.
