Dismantling the unit

Your aircon unit will be carefully disassembled part by part and unmounted from the wall. Parts will be systematically washed separately from each other to ensure that the cleaning solution can reach all areas of your unit and flush out any built-up dirt and gunk. The electronics will be removed and separated to ensure that they don't get affected and remain dry.

Inspecting the individual parts for any damages

After your whole aircon is dismantled, we will individually inspect each part for leaks, stress, or damages, including parts that are only accessible when the aircon is entirely disassembled. Our technicians will recommend solutions if they ever find anything amiss with your aircon.

Soaking the components in chemical solution

We will separately soak the components of your aircon with a powerful chemical solution that will bind to and remove dirt and gunk. As the aircon has been disassembled, this allows the disinfecting solution to reach into every crevice, including the posterior regions where the aircon mounts the wall. We will also apply an anti-rust compound to metallic components to ensure they last as long as possible.

Finally, the parts will then be wiped, dried, and reassembled together again. Our technicians will do one final check to see whether all systems are working properly and remount your unit to the wall. Expect it to smell, feel, and work like brand new!

Aircon chemical overhaul uses a strong alkali solution to clean the fan coil. We do not recommend getting an air conditioner chemical overhaul more than once every six months.

An aircon chemical overhaul is priced higher than a normal chemical wash in Singapore due to its comprehensive cleaning process, which involves fully disconnecting and disassembling individual units and multiple meticulous steps. This enhances your unit's performance, rejuvenating it to appear and function as if it were brand new.

How is aircon chemical overhaul different from aircon chemical wash?

Chemical washes and overhauls involve everything from standard general servicing plus cleaning the fan coil with a strong alkaline chemical to remove dust or mould that are stuck inside the coil. This greatly improves the cooling capacity of the aircon if there is a build-up of debris inside the coil, and the cooling ability of the aircon is generally considerably stronger after chemical cleaning.

An overhaul involves dismantling the aircon completely off the wall so that we can clean each compartment individually. We do not recommend overhaul for units older than 10 years, as the plastic can become brittle and it is a breakage hazard when we dismantle it.

Chemical wash is fine for units of all ages. Both types of chemical cleaning are very thorough and we recommend them mostly for air conditioners that are used very often and haven't been serviced in a while, or an aircon that isn't as cold anymore.
